Maya brought me a box of cookies from Kyoto. It's the green tea cats tongue from Malebranche. She said that Kyoto was famous for high quality green tea and Malebranche made lots of fine pastries with green tea.
Curiously, I removed the light golden ribbon, and opened the green wrapping paper. I saw a delicate box. Uncovering the seal, ten rectangular green cookies lay in the box packed individually in small bags. I always feel huge satisfaction and great pleasure to have delicious food. While eating the green tea cats tongue, I feel like I am in heaven! They have a very strong green tea aroma and flavor. The white chocolate in the middle of the two cookies harmonizes the slight bitterness of green tea. They are very crunchy, pleasant for chewing. Isn't it great if I can make something like this!

The cats tongue is made of egg whites, butter, sugar and flour. We can flavor it with green tea, vanilla or cacao powder, etc. We mix well all the ingredients, pipe on a buttered pan with a pastry bag, and bake them for about 12 minutes. Then we have the cats tongue!
